How to pause and resume your campaigns.
What is the Toggle? #
The toggle switch lets you pause or resume a campaign without changing dates.
| Toggle Position | What It Means |
|---|---|
| ON (right) | Campaign is running |
| OFF (left) | Campaign is paused |
Auto-Save #
Just like dates, the toggle saves automatically. No save button needed — just click and it’s done.
Instant Effect #
Changes take effect immediately on your store. When you toggle OFF:
- New customers won’t see the discount
- Existing carts update when customers refresh the page
When Can You Use the Toggle? #
The toggle only works in these situations:

| 🟢 Green (Active) | Turn OFF to pause |
| 🔴 Red (Paused) | Turn ON to resume |
That’s it! – You can only switch between Active and Paused.
When Toggle Doesn’t Work #
The toggle is locked (you can’t click it) when:

| ⚫ Gray (Completed) | Campaign already ended |
| 🟡 Yellow (No Dates) | Set your dates first |
What Happens If You Try? #
If you click a locked toggle:
- Nothing happens
- The toggle stays where it was
Turning a Campaign ON #
When you turn a paused campaign back ON, the system checks:
- Are dates set? – Both Start and End must exist
- Any conflicts? – No overlap with other active groups
What is a “Conflict”? #
A conflict requires BOTH of these:

| Date overlap | Same days as another group |
| Product overlap | Same products or categories |
Important: Same dates with DIFFERENT products is allowed!

If There’s a Conflict #
You’ll see an error message like:
“Cannot activate this group. There’s a conflict with ‘Other Group’.”
Fix options:
- Change your dates to not overlap
- Change products to not overlap
- Deactivate the other group first
When to Use Toggle vs Change Dates #

Toggle is faster for temporary pauses – just click on, click off.
Common Questions #
Q: My toggle doesn’t respond? #
Check your status badge:
- Must be Green or Red for toggle to work
- Blue/Gray/Yellow = toggle is locked
Q: I turned it ON but discounts aren’t working? #
Check:
- Is badge actually Green (Active)?
- Does the group have rules?
- Do products match the rules?
Q: How do I unpause a pending campaign? #
You can’t! Pending means “waiting for start date.” It will become Active automatically when the date arrives.
Q: When I toggle OFF, do customers lose discounts immediately? #
Yes, but they need to refresh. Active carts keep old prices until page refresh.
